Project Overview

During my time with Nutrien Ag Solutions I worked on a lot of digital assets. This project was one of the first web designs that I solved a user experience problem. The goal was to create a comprehensive online tradeshow program with several offerings and a similar look and feel to increase brand awareness and equity.

Problem

As a graphic designer and brand advisor at Nutrien Ag Solutions, I led several web redesign projects. However, this project, which involved relaunching our tradeshow website, was the first that piqued my interest in UX design. To solve this challenge, I collaborated closely with the brand manager, digital marketing manager, developers, and our UX team.

Deliverables

Goals

  • Prototypes that demonstrate user flows, content organization of site redesign

  • High fidelity mockups to hand over to web dev team

  • Create 3 deliverables for purchasing tradeshow items, renting items, and full booth design/support

  • User friendly website catalog

  • User having a great experience when looking for support for their tradeshow needs

  • User feels confident and worry free no matter what level of support they choose

  • Seamless billing system in place

User Journey

Developing the user journey was key to giving the users a great experience. The stakeholders wanted the website to feel like a familiar ecommerce website with similar check out processes and heuristics.

Screens

These are the first set of screens for high fidelity mockups. Unfortunately, during the onset of Covid, this project was put on the backburner because tradeshows were put on hold.

For this web redesign I created custom icons that fit within the brand guidelines.

Retrospective

Although the project was put on hold, it sparked my interest in UX design. I delved into the field by studying and eventually completing a UX bootcamp through CareerFoundry. I would have liked to finish the project but working with developers and stakeholders taught me valuable lessons.
